Coat Check Attendant
A Coat Check Attendant is to sustain a clean and organized coat check area, retrieve coats and outerwear attire from patrons, hang retrieved coats and outerwear attire tidily on an appropriate hanger, place coat check tabs on applicable hangers in numerical order, and provide patrons with a corresponding coat check ticket to ensure a successful pick up. Valued added expertise such as prior customer service, operative organization skills, and having the capability to construct metal freestanding coat racks is of preference.
Performing duties of the Catering Team require prolonged standing, walking, and occasional lifting. Tasks include fashioning a clean event space, accurately re-position and dress dining tables, high top tables, and chairs to run parallel with the floor plan, assembling food stations, obtaining a true understanding of menu item ingredients and pronunciation, servicing menu items to patrons, maintaining cleanliness, and breaking down event upon conclusion. The Catering Team can begin as early as 5:00pm and can conclude as late as 1:00am.
A college graduate or an upperclassman, a Traineeship applicant is to have 1 year of experience in the tourism and hospitality industry, a current or a graduate Associates Degree or a Bachelors Degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration, and dedicated to a 40 hour work week. In this role the Traineeship will learn how to plan weddings, corporate events, festivals, and effectively conduct research, develop relationships with area vendors, create event day timelines and execute an event.
